About

/Curatorial Interface

This PhD project, undertaken at the University of Greenwich, explores the practice of net art exhibitions. Net art has always pushed the boundaries of digital space and redefined what can be achieved with interface design. Since the advent of the internet, net art has undergone several transformation phases, resulting in unique UI designs and expanding the definition of navigable interfaces. This project serves as a curated collection of diverse UI designs, brought together on a single website to highlight the trends and tendencies employed in net art exhibition practices.

The website is composed of three integral parts. The first part is the PhD thesis and its chapters, which provide the theoretical foundation for the project. The second part,

Wrong Archives, is a curated collection preserving The Wrong Biennale N5 (2021/2022). It consists of screen recordings of pavilions exhibited during the three-month event. The final part focuses on the website’s design, offering a detailed explanation of the stylistic choices made during its development. Together, these components form a comprehensive exploration of net art exhibition practices and their contribution to interface design.
